It is no secret that music teachers are
- exhausted with the demands of pandemic teaching
- beaten down with the increased expectations and lack of support
- disheartened by the instruction we aren't able to deliver this year
- frustrated by the ever-evolving often last-minute changes
- grieving the ways we used to be able to relate to students and our colleagues
- struggling to take care of ourselves amid the challenges
. . . but - through it all - DETERMINED to be HOPEFUL and get this through this school year as best we can.
It can all be true at the same time.
And we are in this TOGETHER.

Restoring Resilience!
Join us now as we walk through this spring - increasing our resilience and continuing to strengthen habits of self-care and self-compassion.
No matter where you are - or what you teach - this past year has been hard.
I've been teaching students, as well as consulting with teachers all over the world this past year - and I assure you . . . everyone is exhausted and doing the best they can.
AND my experience tells me that those of us in a strong community - with strong self-care/self-compassion habits are faring better than most.
This course is not only intended to help us throughout the two weeks, but also to provide us practical, go-to resources and community to return to when we need it.
If you're looking for tools and collaborators to help get you through the rest of the school year, you've found us!
Whatever you do, take care of yourself - because you matter. Your family, friends, students, and colleagues need you. And I wish you nothing but the very best as we move toward summer.
I sincerely hope to see you in the course. You are a valued member of our Music Ed Forward global community!
